Why Do I Read?
I read because its fun, it’s entertaining. I don’t find
myself getting lost in a TV show or movies, or writing in a journal. Reading is
an escape. A way to get an inside into another world almost and experience
other things through words on a page of a book. I read to feel things, to get a
view and perspective on characters and their thoughts. I don’t read to gain
knowledge, and I don’t read because I have to. It is purely for the fun of it.
Reading is such a mindless thing to do, it’s easy and quite addicting. My
favorite time to read is late at night, once it’s extremely quiet, that’s where
I find myself loosing myself in reading. Usually a typical romance novel or and
occasional horror. With reading it keeps you on your toes, you can read a
horror book and never put the book down! Words in a book can terrify you. One
of my favorite authors being Stephen King, doing a great job of it. Or your
usual romance, Sarah Dessen does the best with. And with reading you experience
it all through writing, which can be a hard thing to do. Reading really is a
cool thing.
